Client Brief

Our partners in Australia, BeChallenged, took an enquiry from global industrial minerals company Sibelco who were conferencing in Barcelona. The client has offices in 5 regions and it fell to Sibelco’s Australian office to organise the team building element of the conference. They wanted to work closely

with a local supplier, but also one that had links to the event venue which was over 10,000 miles away. Their key objective was to spend time out of the hotel exploring the city and they wanted everyone to follow different routes on foot. The client were keen to have a bespoke trail with bespoke questions and challenges tailored to their business and the event location.

The Solution

Working with Go Team authorised partners, Sibelco were able to liaise with the local Australian event team on a day to day basis, whilst also working with an event team over 10,000 miles away in Spain! Each Go Team operator worked closely with the client to meet all their requirements, creating the questions and delivering the event on site in Madrid, whilst BeChallenged Australia remained the client’s main point of contact to be able to respond quickly being in the same time zone.

One of the reasons Sibelco chose Go Team was the ability of the technology to include bespoke questions specific to both the city and the company, and not just a bank of standard ‘one size fits all’ questions. The trail incorporated many of the city’s main sights, including the Sagrada Familia church, La Pedrera (Casa Mila), Las Ramblas and the Picasso Museum amongst others. We combined observational questions that were GPS triggered at each location, with photo challenges and company related questions at various checkpoints. The event was a resounding success with the client talking about incorporating Go Team into further events in their annual schedule.
